- “GETTING YOUR DREAM JOB” – OPEN HOUSE

- On the 20th of June 2010, Raffles International College Hanoi held an open house with the theme “Getting your dream job”. The event attracted the attention of many students and parents. The seminar‟s aim was to share information and guide young people on how to obtain their dream job in their future career. It was a good opportunity for all attendees to gain some insight into what their "dream job" might be as well as serving as a valuable career orientation day run byexperienced foreigner lecturers. At the seminar, Mr. Alex, Director of Raffles International College, introduced all of the programs offered and discussed the study methodology and educational environment at Raffles Hanoi. All of our prospective students had the chance to clarify any questions they had about their area of specialization in Raffles' programs. Mr. Alex also discussed the Raffles scholarships which are valued at 100,000,000 VND in total and have been awarded to outstanding students for the July intake 2010. Through these scholarships, we aim to create opportunities for Vietnamese students to more easily obtain an international university education right here in Vietnam.

With over 20 years teaching experience in the U.S. and Asia Pacific, Dr. Mark, the Academic Director at Raffles, shared with the attendees the key to getting a dream job and being successful n any career endeavour - valuable career information to any student. In his speech, Dr. Mark expressed that we get a „dream job‟ when we love our work and know our own strengths, this way we find ourselves a suitable job that we can truly excel in. He believes that at Raffles, students have the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge and develop the necessary skills and professional outlook that will be vital for them in the future.
- Dr. Mark also shared his own success story about achieving his „dream job‟. The message was conveyed in a particularly amusing and entertaining way which made the
presentation very impressive and interesting for the audience.

- During the seminar, our guest Ms. Dang Hong Chau, a representative of UMA Ltd. Co. (a well-known home furniture design and manufacturing company) presented an award to a talented student, Pham Thu Hien, who designed the best uniform for UMA. Raffles takes great pride in our students‟ achievements and we are looking forward to hearing more news from the students at Hanoi Raffles International College in the future.

all student involved. Raffles aims to enrich students academic journey by providing an environment for them to explore and discover their true potential. All the participants thoroughly enjoyed the day and new students look forward to starting their new classes at the Hanoi campus.
